The Institute for Innovation in Imaging (i3) collaborates with researchers and industry partners to accelerate translation of new tools that detect disease early and monitor emergent treatments.
Who We Can Help
The i3 works with groups and individuals, internal and external, to assess their needs and create a customized technology translation strategy that draws upon the abilities of our faculty and a wide array of resources accessible to us. From state-of-the-art laboratories to novel diagnostic probes, high-tech devices, unique animal models, and first in human trials – we can help connect you with your next big step, and support you through the process.
For Researchers
The i3 will work with you to build the framework necessary to successfully navigate the path ahead. Whether that’s moving from basic research to an approved product, or simply reaching the next phase, we can help.
For Industry
We have a wide variety of diagnostic imaging probes and devices that provide noninvasive readouts of tissue characteristics and molecular expression, and many are already available for human clinical trials. We would love to hear from you about possible collaborations.
Success Stories
Large Pharmaceutical Company
The i3 helped in the design of the studies and advised on the synthesis and labeling strategies for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agents used to evaluate the drug.
Jacob Hooker
The i3 identified an external regulatory consultant to work with Dr. Hooker to review the initial application submission and respond to the FDA’s questions.
Series A Biotech Company
The i3 met with the company’s senior team to understand their needs and provide guidance on how imaging could be incorporated into their development process.
Peter Caravan and Pauline Desogere
The i3 helped in the design of the studies and advised on the synthesis and labeling strategies for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging agents used to evaluate the drug.
